The Namaqua Daisies Tour highlights the extraordinary transformation of the Namaqua National Park and surrounds, showcasing more than 3,500 species of flowering plants, many of which are found nowhere else on Earth.
Along the way, you will explore historical landmarks, geological wonders, charming small towns, and dramatic coastal scenes. From the majestic Eye of Kuruman to the roaring Augrabies Falls, and the vibrant carpets of blooms in Namaqualand, this tour blends natural beauty with cultural discovery and comfortable evenings of rest and relaxation.

DAY 1 – EAST RAND MALL TO KURUMAN | NORTHERN BEAUTY & NATURAL SPRINGS
Your journey begins at 07:00 AM, departing from PNP Towers at East Rand Mall. Settle in as we travel through serene landscapes toward the Northern Cape.
We pause in Ventersdorp for a short coffee break (at your own expense) before continuing north.
Upon arrival in Kuruman, we explore two remarkable natural and historical sites:
- The Eye of Kuruman – The largest natural spring in the Southern Hemisphere, forming a vibrant oasis in this semi-arid region.
- Wonderwerk Caves – A fascinating archaeological site believed to have been occupied by humans as far back as two million years ago.
After sightseeing, we check into our accommodation to relax and refresh. Dinner is enjoyed at your accommodation.

DAY 2 – KURUMAN TO UPINGTON TO O’KIEP | AUGRABIES FALLS ADVENTURE
After breakfast, we check out and begin our journey toward Upington, enjoying another convenient coffee stop en route (own expense).
We continue to Augrabies Falls National Park, where the mighty Orange River plunges thunderously into a deep rocky gorge. Take in the dramatic viewpoints, feel the spray, and capture unforgettable photos of this natural marvel.
Following our visit, we enjoy lunch nearby (own expense), before continuing west to the historic mining town of O’Kiep, once known as the heart of copper mining in South Africa.
Upon arrival, we check into our accommodation and enjoy a relaxing evening with dinner served at your lodge.

DAY 3 – O’KIEP TO NAMAQUA NATIONAL PARK TO PORT NOLLOTH | WILDFLOWERS & COASTAL CALM
After breakfast and check-out, we begin our journey to the heart of the Namaqua wildflower region.
Entering Namaqua National Park, you will encounter sweeping landscapes blanketed with flowers that create a breathtaking patchwork of colour. More than 3,500 plant species bloom here in late winter and early spring, making it one of the richest floral kingdoms on Earth.
From here, we continue toward the coast, passing through the historic village of Steinkopf before reaching Port Nolloth. Enjoy time to relax and settle in before dinner at your accommodation.

DAY 4 – PORT NOLLOTH TO KIMBERLEY | A CITY OF HISTORY
After breakfast, we check out and begin our scenic drive toward the historic diamond-mining city of Kimberley.
Along the journey, enjoy the shifting landscape as the Namaqualand coast gives way to vast plains and rolling interior terrain.
Upon arrival in Kimberley, we check into our accommodation and enjoy a well-deserved dinner.

DAY 5 – KIMBERLEY TO EAST RAND MALL | THE BIG HOLE & RETURN
Following breakfast, we check out and visit the world-famous Big Hole. This remarkable man-made excavation is a testament to South Africa’s diamond heritage and an iconic historical attraction.
After our visit, we begin our return journey to Johannesburg. We arrive back at PNP Towers – East Rand Mall, where our tour concludes, marking the end of an unforgettable adventure.
