Day 1: Fly from Johannesburg to Cape Town – Begin Your Scenic Whale Coast Journey
• Depart from OR Tambo International Airport and board your scheduled flight to Cape Town.
• Travel along the R44 Clarence Drive, one of the world’s most scenic coastal roads, with endless photo opportunities of turquoise bays, fynbos-covered mountains, and seaside villages.
Stop 1 – Harold Porter Botanical Garden
• Begin your morning with a relaxing stroll through this serene coastal reserve in Betty’s Bay, featuring lush indigenous fynbos, shaded forest paths, and gentle streams leading to small waterfalls.
• Enjoy a coffee or tea at the on-site café while taking in the beautiful garden views.
Stop 2 – Stony Point Penguin Colony
• Visit Stony Point Nature Reserve, home to a large African Penguin breeding colony.

Afternoon – Arrival in Hermanus
• Continue along the Whale Coast Route to Hermanus, the whale-watching capital of South Africa.
• Check in at your accommodation and unwind.

Day 2: Hermanus – Whale Watching & Coastal Exploration
• Breakfast at your accommodation.
• Depart for New Harbour in Hermanus for a guided whale-watching boat tour (weather permitting).
– This 2-hour cruise explores Walker Bay, home to Southern Right Whales between July and November.
– You may also see Humpback Whales, Bryde’s Whales, dolphins, Cape Fur Seals, and seabirds. Knowledgeable guides share insights on marine life and conservation.
