Welcome to the Garden Route Tour — a curated journey through South Africa’s most iconic landscapes. From the stories of Bloemfontein to the lagoons of Knysna, the marine treasures of Plettenberg Bay, and the ancient forests of Tsitsikamma, this extraordinary 13-day adventure blends history, wildlife, scenic beauty, and refined leisure.

Day 1: Boksburg → Bloemfontein | War Museum Experience
Your journey begins with a morning departure from 4 Dayan Road, Boksburg.
Upon arrival in Bloemfontein, settle into the Protea Hotel Bloemfontein Willow Lake before enjoying lunch at your own expense.
The afternoon takes you to the Anglo-Boer Museum, where immersive exhibits unfold the complex history of conflict, resilience, and culture.
Return to your accommodation for a peaceful evening and dinner.
Day 2: Bloemfontein → Knysna | Scenic Arrival in the Garden Route
After breakfast, depart for the coastal haven of Knysna.
Enjoy a coffee break and lunch en route (at own expense).
Upon arrival, check into the Protea by Marriott Hotel Knysna Quays and enjoy dinner at your accommodation before settling in for the evening.
Day 3: Knysna Lagoon & Wilderness National Park
Begin with breakfast before embarking on the Knysna Marine Life and Garden Route Coastline Experience.
Cruise across the lagoon and estuaries, watching for dolphins, whales, and abundant sea birdlife.
Later, explore Wilderness National Park — a sanctuary of forests, rivers, and scenic views.
Dinner and overnight at your accommodation.
Day 4: Knysna → Plettenberg Bay | Whale Watching & Elephant Sanctuary
After breakfast, journey to Plettenberg Bay and check into Barringtons Hotel.
Join Ocean Blue Adventures for an unforgettable whale-watching excursion.
The afternoon takes you to the Elephant Sanctuary Plett, offering a respectful and educational encounter with these majestic animals.
Return to your accommodation for dinner and leisure.
Day 5: Plettenberg Bay → Tsitsikamma National Park
Following breakfast, travel to Tsitsikamma National Park for a self-drive exploration of dramatic coastlines and forested landscapes — with chances to spot whales and dolphins along the way.
Later, check into Andelomi Forest Lodge and enjoy dinner and a relaxed evening.
Day 6: Tsitsikamma Canopy Tour Adventure
After breakfast, experience the thrill of the Tsitsikamma Canopy Tour — gliding between ancient Outeniqua Yellowwood trees.
Return to your lodge for free time.
Lunch is at your own expense.
Enjoy dinner at your accommodation.
Day 7: Tsitsikamma → Addo Elephant National Park → Port Elizabeth
Begin with breakfast and check out.
Travel to Addo Elephant National Park for a self-guided wildlife experience.
Continue onward to Port Elizabeth and settle into the Radisson Blu Hotel Port Elizabeth.
Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 8: Nelson Mandela Bay | Whale, Dolphin & Penguin Island Cruise
After breakfast, journey to the Mandela Bay Yacht Club for a 4-hour marine cruise — searching for humpback whales, bottlenose dolphins, and African penguins.
Return to your accommodation for lunch (own expense) and a restful afternoon.
Dinner and evening at leisure.
Day 9: Port Elizabeth → Mossel Bay
After breakfast, depart for Mossel Bay with lunch and coffee breaks along the way (own expense).
Check into your accommodation and enjoy dinner and a peaceful evening.
Day 10: Seal Island & Scenic Train Ride
Breakfast precedes a boat excursion to Seal Island, where playful Cape fur seals thrive.
Later, enjoy the Mossel Bay Scenic Train Ride showcasing sweeping views of the Indian Ocean.
Return for dinner and relaxation.
Day 11: Mossel Bay → Oudtshoorn | Cango Caves & Ostrich Farm
After breakfast, travel to Oudtshoorn for an immersive experience at the Cango Caves — an underground world of limestone artistry.
Continue to the Cango Ostrich Farm to learn about these remarkable birds.

Day 12: Oudtshoorn → Colesberg

After breakfast, begin your return journey to Boksburg, with stops along the way.
