ACT Tours Presents: The Groot Constantia & Cape Town Experience
A 5-Day Journey Through Wine Country, Coastal Beauty & Cultural Heritage
Welcome to an exceptional journey through South Africa’s glorious Cape region.
This carefully curated experience blends rich history, world-class winemaking, dramatic coastline, and vibrant culture. From the timeless vineyards of Constantia to the rugged cliffs of the Cape Peninsula, each day offers refined exploration and unforgettable scenery.
Travel in comfort, savour exquisite flavours, and discover the very best of the Cape over five memorable days.
Day 1: Arrival in Cape Town & Scenic Drive Through Constantia Wine Valley
Begin your adventure with a meet-up at OR Tambo International Airport, followed by a direct flight to Cape Town International Airport.
Upon arrival, enjoy a scenic introduction to the Constantia Wine Valley — a region draped in vineyards at the foot of Table Mountain and recognised as South Africa’s oldest wine-growing district. Pause at picturesque viewpoints to capture the beauty of this historic valley.
Check into your selected accommodation and take time to relax.
In the afternoon, visit one of Cape Town’s pristine beaches to enjoy the fresh ocean air and spectacular coastal setting.
Conclude your day with dinner at your accommodation and an evening at leisure.
Day 2: Premium Constantia Wine Experience
After breakfast, embark on a full-day guided wine tour through Constantia — steeped in viticultural heritage since 1685.
• Stop 1: Premium Estate Visit
Begin with an exclusive wine tasting at a renowned Constantia estate. Wander through manicured gardens or join a guided cellar visit to explore historic winemaking traditions.
• Stop 2: Buitenverwachting Wine Estate
Continue to Buitenverwachting, housed in a charming Cape Dutch manor.
Enjoy a guided tasting followed by a three-course lunch at their celebrated restaurant — pairing refined cuisine with mountain views.
(Sunday lunches will be enjoyed at either Catharina’s Restaurant or Bistro 1682.)
• Stop 3: Klein Constantia Wine Estate
In the afternoon, embark on an exciting 4×4 vineyard experience leading to an elevated viewpoint overlooking False Bay.
Enjoy a glass of MCC before a private cellar tour and tasting in one of the estate’s exclusive spaces — such as “Duggie’s Dungeon” or the VDC Museum Cellar.
Return to your accommodation for dinner and a relaxed evening.
Day 3: Cape Town Highlights Tour — Table Mountain, Bo-Kaap & Cape Peninsula
After breakfast, enjoy a guided exploration of Cape Town’s most iconic landmarks:
• Bo-Kaap — A guided walk through this historic community, known for its colourful homes and Cape Malay heritage.
• Table Mountain — Ascend by cable car to the summit for sweeping city and ocean views. Enjoy time to explore or browse the gift shops.
• Maiden’s Cove — A scenic stop capturing coastline and mountain vistas.
• Chapman’s Peak Drive — One of the world’s most breathtaking coastal roads, ideal for photographs and gentle walks.
• Cape of Good Hope — Experience the symbolic southwestern point of Africa on a guided walk.
• Cape Point — Discover dramatic cliffs, lighthouses, and spectacular ocean panoramas.
• Boulders Beach Penguin Colony — Observe African penguins in their natural coastal sanctuary.
Return to your accommodation for dinner and an evening at leisure.
Day 4: Cape Peninsula Discovery — Seals, Penguins & Coastal Villages
Following breakfast and checkout, set out on a final full-day experience along the Cape Peninsula.
• Bo-Kaap — Photo stop for a last glimpse of its vibrant charm.
• Camps Bay — Capture the Twelve Apostles and Atlantic coastline.
• Optional: Duiker Island Boat Trip — Witness Cape fur seals in their natural habitat.
• Chapman’s Peak Drive — A return to this dramatic route with further photo opportunities.
• Optional: Noordhoek Farm Village — A relaxing stop for browsing, coffee, or light snacks.
• Cape Point National Park — Explore rugged landscapes, viewpoints, and possible wildlife sightings.
• Cape of Good Hope — Walk the scenic coastline and visit the landmark sign.
